the beauty of what comes

I think I'm getting a little more skillful at appreciating whatever is here at the moment. Just outside my back door I found this thrilling little world and I had to get a shot of it. There's an awful lot of beauty waiting to surprise us when we care to notice it. Sometimes it's almost too much for me. It makes me want to laugh and cry at the same time.

It's good to be alive.

  1. This post reminds me of the "One Thousand Gifts" book that I'm currently reading ... about how many gifts there are to receive in every single day.

  2. Hey Terri. This post (well, its title) reminds me of a movie I love. It is called "The Forth Wise Man." It is about a man who is very wealthy and he sells everything to travel to Jerusalem to go worship the baby Jesus and on his journey he gets delayed while caring for a colony of misfits. You should watch it. (If you have never seen it) The whole movie is on You Tube and I cry every time I watch this movie. Every time I forget about how beautiful broken/thrown away people are I remember this movie.
